The Legend of Aranea

Eons ago, Aranea, the Spider Loa of the Sarkash Woods excreted her vilest VENOM. Anyone who came in contact with it and survived, acquired prophetic powers and spider senses. Of course HE paid Aranea a visit and killed her because the World was in no need of another prophet. The VENOM however continues to get excreted from the corpse of Aranea. It happens on every solstice. The legend draws madmen and doomsayers to her corpse who decide to end their lives. A handful of them manage to survive.
